The anime & manga events include anime themed cafes, anime merchandise collaborations and anime conventions. All these events are amazing and truly worth visiting. Spring 2021

1. Jujutsu Kaisen X SEGA Cafe

The Jujutsu Kaisen X SEGA Cafe will be coming to Tokyo from the beginning of March and will be held until the 4th of April 2021. The cafe will be selling a full menu of Jujutsu Kaisen themed food, as well as a full range of unique Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise! This anime event is going to be very popular and so if you are wanting to get a table at this cafe, make sure you book via their official website as soon as possible! 2. Demon Slayer ‘Zenshuuchuu’ Exhibition

The official creators of Demon Slayer, Ufotable will be creating a whole Kimetsu No Yaiba exhibition in Tokyo this year, to celebrate the new season that will be released at the end of 2021! This is an unmissable anime event in Tokyo! The exhibition will include tons of official art, themed rooms, information on how the anime was made and a whole range of new Demon Slayer merchandise. This exhibition will be held in Matsuya Ginza and will be held until April 2021. In order to be guaranteed a place at the event, you must book your ticket online HERE before going. Tickets just to enter cost 1,300yen. Tickets to enter and receive the full merchandise range cost 2,800yen!

3. AnimeJapan

Anime Japan is one of the biggest anime conventions that takes place yearly in Tokyo! Experiencing an anime convention in the country that CREATED anime is honestly one of the best things in the world and the people who attend are all super passionate about anime! Some of the biggest animation studios in Japan present at the event giving information on what is coming up in the future. On top of this, there are TONS of stalls selling anime merchandise, anime displays to take pictures of, anime activities and MUCH MORE! 5. Comiket 99

Comiket, like AnimeJapan, is another anime & manga convention that sadly was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, it is coming back this year in 2021 as Comiket 99! Comiket, as you can probably tell from the name, focuses more on manga than anime and there are tons of manga stalls from popular artists and also new, smaller artists! Due to this, it is a great place to find new manga to read! Another great thing about the convention is the fact that many people who attend the convention cosplay their favourite anime characters and the convention has become famous for this in recent years. If you’re someone who loves manga and cosplay then this is somewhere you have to visit.

6. My Hero Academia Pop Up Shop

A whole Store dedicated to My Hero Academia is being opened in Shinjuku, Tokyo this year selling a whole new range of merchandise! The new design is in an artistic style designed by ‘Ani-Art’. The pop up shop will be held in Shinjuku Marui in the ‘Amnibus Store’. The store will be selling tons of different My Here Academia merchandise including stationary, mugs, badges, posters and much more! If you’re a My Hero Academia fan and are looking for a anime & manga event in Tokyo, this is definitely the place for you!
