What Does ‘Seiyuu’ Mean?

‘Seiyuu’ (声優) is the Japanese word for voice actors in Japan. Although seiyuu voice many different types of media, they are usually most famous for voicing characters from an anime series. The word ‘seiyuu’ is often used in English to talk specifically about the Japanese voice actors of anime characters. Seiyuu become very popular due to the characters that they voice and there is even a whole fanbase dedicated to them.
