What is Your Lie in April (Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso)?
Your Lie in April is an extremely popular anime that aired in Japan from 2014-2015. The anime is fairly short with only 22 episodes and follows main character Kosei on his journey of trying to play piano again after he gave it up due to his mother’s death. Kosei meets Kaori, a violinist who helps him on his journey. The anime is extremely touching and emotional with many twists and turns throughout the anime. 1. Shakuji Park
Shakuji Park is a beautiful, large park that is located in Nerima. Shakuji Park featured in Your Lie in April when Kaori went looking for the black cat that they lost. Kaori runs all around the park to search and run after the black cat. This means that tons of the park was featured in the anime, creating many real life anime locations throughout the park! This is the perfect place to chill whilst also enjoying a real life anime location.

2. Shakuji River Sakura Trees
The cherry blossom trees that run along the Shakujii river were featured in the Your Lie in April anime in episode 2 when Kaori and Kosei walk there together and talk to one another. This Your Lie in April real life anime location is so beautiful in real life, just like the anime. This makes it the perfect place to take pictures…especially in cosplay!! The sakura at this location are absolutely gorgeous so we’d recommend visiting in the spring so that you can see them!

3. Nerima Bunka Center (Towa Hall)
Nerima Bunka Center, or Nerima Culture Center is a hall located in Nerima that showcases cultural shows and items from the area. This appeared in Your Lie In April when Kaori and Kosei first met each other for the first time! The hall is called ‘Towa Hall’ in the anime, but you can tell just by looking at them that they are the same place!! Kosei first meets Kaori here when he spots her playing a harmonica and draws him back into the instrumental world. Due to this, this location is one of the most significant real life locations that featured in the anime ‘Your Lie in April’.

4. Nerima Hikarigaoka Hospital
Nerima Hikarigaoka Hospital is one of Nerima’s biggest and main hospitals. This appeared in the Your Lie in April anime when Kaori is hospitalized in episode 5 of the anime. As you can see from the photos above, the anime location and real life location look basically the same! Although this isn’t the best place to get a picture, it is worth stopping off and checking this location out if you are in the Nerima area and are looking for Your Lie in April real life anime locations!

The Butcher’s Table is a popular restaurant in Nerima that featured in Your Lie in April in episode 6 when Tsubaki and her senior have their date there!
