When you first arrive in Tokyo, you will be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of cute fashion shops selling some of the best fashion you’ve ever seen! But before you go in and buy everything you like make sure to check the price tags! A lot of Tokyo’s fashion stores can be EXTREMELY expensive and a lot of similar items can be found at much cheaper places! So if you’re looking to buy some super cute fashion items whilst still traveling on a budget, check out this list of some of Tokyo’s CUTE but CHEAP clothing shops!
I wouldn’t be able to make a list like this without including WEGO! It’s still one of my favorite shops in Tokyo as it sells a wide variety of cute clothes at small prices! WEGO is constantly keeping up with the trends and even sell some street fashion brands such as Ben Davies, Dickies and recently Guess; all at a cheaper price! If you’re shopping in Tokyo, this should be the first shop you go to! There are WEGO shops located all over Tokyo so you’re guaranteed to be able to find one somewhere near to you. Below I’ve included the details of one of the main WEGO stores which is located on Takeshita Street.

Lowry’s Farm is slightly more expensive than WEGO but it is still super cheap! The vibe is very different to WEGO with the store offering more mature, sophisticated clothes with tons of skirts, dresses and jumpers on offer! The quality of each item is very good and you can find some amazing bargains here, I like to go here if i’m looking to buy a nice outfit to go out in the evening in but don’t want to spend too much money! Well worth checking out if you’re in Tokyo and are on a budget!

This one is for all you kawaii fashion lovers looking to shop on a budget! WC is full of super unique clothes that are cheap compared to other ‘kawaii’ fashion stores. Everything in the shop is pastel colored and mostly pink or purple! The upstairs of the shop sells vintage clothes but it’s a bit more expensive, so if you’re looking to shop on a budget stay downstairs! The store sells everything from shoes and bags to tops and trousers, each with a unique design! This is somewhere you HAVE to go if you’re shopping in Tokyo!

Although Right On is the most expensive store on this list, the reason i’ve included it is due to the fact that it sells top street wear brands at a fraction of the cost. They have all sorts of brands like Converse, Vans, The North Face, Dickies and much more! Due to these being official brands they are, of course, a bit expensive but if you’re wanting to get your hands on these brands anyway, Right On is the place to go!

You have probably heard of UNIQLO but have you heard of GU?! I know I hadn’t heard of it until I got to Tokyo! GU is run by the same company as UNIQLO is however it’s prices are significantly cheaper. GU is the store you go to when you need an essential clothing item on a budget. However, recently they have significantly improved their stores by getting on board with the latest fashion trends. They sell tons of great quality clothes from dresses to jeans and have recently included more unique ‘street fashion’ style items, such as super cute sweatshirts and hoodies. You have to check out GU if you’re in Japan, I could spend all day in there!
1 Chome-30-1 Kabukicho, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0021
Thank You Mart is a store that sells all it’s items for 390yen…which is super cheap! They mostly sell fashion accessories and other small goods such as stationary and socks, but they also have a range of T-shirts on offer too! The T-shirts are also 390yen and feature some of your favorite characters on them! This is a great place to go for everyone who loves Japanese Pop-culture and are looking to buy character fashion goods at a very cheap price!
