Although many people know about Kichijoji it’s not a popular place to visit for tourists who are in Tokyo for a short time, probably due to the fact that it is a bit out of the way and doesn’t have a specific famous landmark. But nonetheless Kichijoji is still an amazing place that should be visited! Today, we’ll be showing you around the must do things in Kichijoji.

1. Visit Inokashira Park

Inokashira Park is a famous park in Kichijoji that is famous for it’s lake (which you can go boat riding on) and it’s sakura in the spring. The park itself is so beautiful it makes you feel like you’re in a Studio Ghibli film. Which is ironic due to the fact that the Studio Ghibli museum is located right next to the park!

Having a break from city life and going for a nice relaxing boat ride is extremely needed when you’ve been walking around Tokyo all day! The price for the boat ride is 700yen for 30 minute and each boat fits 2 people in! There are a few different kinds of boat, there are peddle boats (regular shaped and swan shaped) and row boats!

When you’re done with the boat ride go and explore the park! The grounds are extremely beautiful and are great for any photographers out there!
