The ‘Breakup KFC’, Shinjuku

Yes the KFC that Gojo Satoru and Get Suguru broke up outside of exists in real life! As the scene is so poignant to the Jujutsu Kaisen plot, I had to put this as the first location on the list. The location appears in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 when Suguru and Satoru decide to go their separate ways. The location is located in Shinjuku, just outside the west exit of Shinjuku Station. It’s very easy to get to so make sure to check it out if you’re in Shinjuku! SatoSugu shippers…I’m sorry for putting this first…

Gojo Gets Sealed, Shibuya Station

Shibuya is a very important location in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 (the Shibuya Incident Arc); especially Shibuya Station. It is where the characters fight against the cursed spirits and is also where Gojo eventually gets sealed. You can visit the exact location that Gojo is sealed in the station. The location is in the Shibuya Metro Station, along the Fukutoshin Line. You can find the exact spot by first finding the hole in the sealing that Gojo comes down through. Google Maps will only get you as far as the station entrance, so after entering make sure to follow the signs for the ‘Fukutoshin Line’.

Itadori Fights a Cursed Spirit, Meiji-Jingumae ‘Harajuku’ Station

This location is featured in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 when Itadori Yuji goes to find Gojo. As he enters Meiji-jingumae Station he comes across a cursed spirit that he ends up having to fight alone. I love this scene because it feels like the first time we see Itadori’s true strength! Meiji-jingumae Station is the next station to Shibuya Station along the Fukutoshin Line. Due to this, this location would be great to visit after visiting the previous location on this list.

Gojo Meets Itadori and Fushiguro, Harajuku Station

This location was featured in the anime with Megumi and Yuji standing outside of it having a conversation; waiting for Gojo who joins later. This location was featured in episode 3 when the characters go to visit Roppongi and Yuji and Nobara must get rid of a curse from an abandoned building. Before arriving there, the characters can be seen in Harajuku, which is how Harajuku Station appears. Harajuku Station can be very easily accessed via the Yamanote Line from major stations such as Shibuya or Shinjuku. The station was recently refurbished for the olympics and it is interesting to see that the new, refurbished station is the one that features in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. Both look extremely similar, you’ll feel like your part of the anime!

The real life anime location was shown by the street display and also with Nobara walking down it. Takeshita Street is a very popular place for people to visit in Tokyo, so if you’re probably wanting to visit the location anyway. Nobara can be seen in Roppongi, or more specifically Roppongi Hills. The location where she stands with Tokyo Tower in the back is a great photo spot and is now a real life anime location too! This would be the perfect place to go and recreate the shot from the opening, particularly in cosplay! Roppongi Hills can be easily accessed from Roppongi Station as it is just a short walk away. Intro Location: Sendagaya Tunnel

Sendagaya Tunnel is another real life anime location that featured in the Jujutsu Kaisen opening. In the scene Megumi is seen squatting down investigating something. The interesting thing about this tunnel is that it is famous for being one of the most haunted tunnels in Tokyo with many people claiming that supernatural experiences happened to them in there. This may be the reason why it featured in the anime and perhaps why Megumi is investigating it. The tunnel is located in Shibuya and is easy to access. Morioka Station

Morioka Station featured at the beginning of the anime, due to Morioka being Yuji’s hometown in Japan! Before he is taken to Tokyo, he first attends school in Morioka where he eats the cursed finger. Gojo comes from Tokyo to get Yuji which is why Gojo is holding souvenirs and says he went ‘sightseeing’. Although Morioka is quite far from Tokyo, it would be great to visit these real life Jujutsu Kaisen locations, if you ever have the chance to go, and experience Yuji’s hometown!
