The story follows Hinata Shouyo, a boy who dreams of becoming a volleyball champion but is sadly very short so finds it hard. The characters in the anime are super funny and go through a lot of development throughout the anime. If you have not seen the anime yet, this should be at the top of your list of things to watch.

Although Dorohedoro had an original run in 2018, the anime was re-released in spring 2020 and played nation wide on Japanese television. Due to its popularity in Japan, this was followed by a worldwide release on Netflix. Due to it being available on Netflix, it is easily accessible and very worth the watch. The anime takes place in a post apocalyptic world where two friends, the main characters, work together to try to bring their memories back. The world is a harsh and violent one and so they have many struggles throughout the story. If you’re someone who likes unique and different anime, this is a great one for you.

Darwin’s Game has always been a popular manga, but it has recently re-gained popularity for it’s anime adaptation that was released at the beginning of this year. Since then it has slowly gained in popularity. The story follows main character Kaname Sudōwho accepts an invitation to play a game application on his phone. He does not realize that this game is very real and leads him to trying to survive in life and death situations. A very interesting anime that you won’t be able to stop watching.

22/7 anime

22/7 is a story about a girl idol group trying to make it in Japan. This is not like other idol anime, each episode focuses on a different character showing their life struggles and reasons for wanting to become an idol. Each story is extremely heart warming and may even bring you to tears! This anime has gained popularity due to it being released to Japanese television this year. The company of the anime has also made the girls a Youtube channel for them which really gets you attached to the story. If you like heartwarming anime, this is a great one for you!

The story is about the relationship of the two characters in 70s New York. The story is very deep and really captures you from the start! A great story for everyone looking for a more deep anime to watch.

The story follows main character Narihisago, a renowned detective who has recently been imprisoned. He now faces the job of solving murder cases from his prison cell. The story is very deep and full of emotional scenes. This anime really opens up questions about society and makes you genuinely feel for the characters. Jujutsu Kaisen means ‘sorcery fight’ in Japanese. It has gained popularity recently due to it being released to Netflix and being played on Japanese TV. The story follows Yūji Itadori who is part of a club at high school that deals with supernatural things. His life is flipped upside down when he accidentally comes into contact with a ‘cursed’ item. The story that follows is extremely fun and unique, I would highly recommend this anime!!

Kaguyama-sama: Love is War

Kaguya-sama: Love is War is very light-hearted and funny to watch with a very simple but unique story line. The main characters, Kaguya and Miyuki both like each other but are too proud to admit it to one another. Due to this, they both partake in various tricks and mind games to try and get the other to confess. The anime is fun to watch and laugh at.
