Anime and Character Cafes in Tokyo 2020
Tokyo is a hub for themed cafes and restaurants. Although some of these are permanent, most of them are limited edition collaborations that usually last for around a month. The collaborations are usually with popular characters or popular animes and almost always sell ORIGINAL merchandise that you can’t buy anywhere else! In this article we’ll be showing you some of the best anime and character collaboration cafes that will be held in Tokyo this year (2020)! So if you’re in Tokyo this year and you love all things anime, make sure to check out this list of cafes you HAVE to visit!
1. Kimetsu Cafe (21/01 – 15/03/2020)
Due to Demon Slayer, or Kimetsu No Yaiba’s recent success as an anime, tons of cafes and businesses are wanting to collaborate with it. Which is great for us fans as it means we can get some amazing merchandise and eat Demon Slayer themed food!! The latest Kimetsu No Yaiba Collaboration is called ‘Kimetsu Cafe’ and it will be opening all throughout Tokyo and Japan (14 locations to be exact!!). The cafe will be open from 21/01 – 15/03/2020 (varies depending on location) and will be serving up some amazing Kimetsu No Yaiba themed food and drink whilst also selling some ORIGINAL MERCHANDISE!!!
More information is yet to come out regarding the collaboration but the cafe has stated that you will need to book your place before hand to enable your spot! Unfortunately the official website is only in Japanese, so if you can’t understand Japanese I would recommend going to the cafe when it opens and booking your table in person as I’m sure they will be able to speak some english!
